A song about hope, and letting go.

Some songs you labor at, and some, like this one, are a gift. It's a non-standard standard, played in an alternate-universe 1930s supper club. In late 2020 the lyrics and melody appeared to me and I worked out the chords on my little terz guitar (a 7/8-scale guitar tuned a minor third up) Shout out to the players on this track and two shouts out to Dave Bell for making it real.
